Why?
Epigenetics is a scientific discipline that studies the influence of changes in the structure of DNA, without an associated change in the nucleotide sequence, on the regulation of gene expression. Epidemiological and experimental studies have revealed that many socio-environmental factors influence epigenetic processes, resulting in health events; some of these epigenetic modifications being potentially transmissible through generations. The organization of a symposium on the theme "Exposome & Epigenetics" with national and international specialists allows to understand the importance of epigenetics in the study of the exposome.
